Study Tracks and Specializations

The Cnam Executive MBA programme combines in a consistent way two features: on one hand, a management program that remains generalist, and on the other hand specializations.  The core courses provide the whole cohort with fundamental tools, skills and competencies that all business managers should possess whatever their particular function or sector of activity.

Then students can opt for a specialisation (Fashion, Insurance, Project or Innovation Management) or to remain generalist (Business Unit Management, tailor made curriculum). The objective of these specialisations is to offer students a deeper view and understanding of the management issues of a specific industry or subject in line with their own professional ambitions.

Five specialized study tracks are presently offered to students:

Business Unit Management

Business Unit Management which aims at going one step further in the holistic view of the company. This major is particularly well designed for students who intend to create their own business. This track provides students with courses on business plans and on venture capital.

Business Unit Management classes are held in hybrid mode (one weekend per month in two years) or in intensive mode (full time) within the period of April to June.

Innovation Management

Innovation Management which specifically targets current project managers who aim at taking larger responsibilities related to innovating processes and change management. This tracks insists upon innovation not only in technology and technological processes but also innovation as a way of thinking, managing and structuring organizations.

Fashion Business Management

Fashion Business Management which targets an industry which presents specificities in terms of management. For this purpose, the Cnam students benefit from the collaboration with ESMOD, a prominent name in Education for the fashion industry.

The MBA in fashion business development has been designed to respond to the needs of new strategies facing globalization in the textile and fashion sectors.Through an interdisplinary and contextual approach, this MBA enables participants to understand the forthcoming challenges facing this creative industry in their respective countries. It builds the skills to manage innovative projects and find innovative solutions. Participants will develop the ability to identify consumer trends, strategies of key players and acquire the skills to assume management roles, from concept to actual product. It provides participants with the methodology and practical tools needed to analyze the fashion environment and dynamics of the fashion business.

ESMOD is the oldest and one of the most famous fashion design school in the world, with 24 schools in 14 different countries. Fashion business development has been designed to respond to the needs of new strategies for the textile and fashion sectors. Through an interdisciplinary and contextual approach, this specialization enables students to understand the forthcoming challenges while facing this creative industry in their respective countries. It helps to develop necessary skills to manage innovative projects and find innovative solutions. Students develop the ability to identify consumer trends, strategies of key players. Insurance Management

The Cnam MBA Insurance Management Program is an international training designed to promote your professional career at the executive level in Insurance and Risk Management professions. This program is coordinated by the International Institute of Management (IIM) and the National Insurance School (ENASS) of the Cnam.

The core courses offered will give participants access to the professional knowledge and management skills required for today executives of the most competitive companies in Europe. The seminars dedicated to insurance and reinsurance will enable participants, on the other hand, to complete the core courses with an insurance component, and on the other hand to share with industry leaders their challenges and best
practices. The most up-to-date teaching techniques will enable participants to master the multidimensional nature of their future executive responsibilities, to seize opportunities, to work within and manage a team, to optimally combine available resources and to efficiently manage complex strategic projects.

Project and Agile management

The CNAM MBA with specialization in Project Management, allows participants to develop your career as a successful project leader with worldleading agile management skills from the University of California Berkeley, combined with the global management expertise and executive
network of the CNAM.

To learn how to master the multidimensional and complex nature of your future executive responsibilities, the program offers a year in Paris at CNAM IIM, to acquire an in-depth understanding of all aspects of Management for Executives, how to seize opportunities, manage high performing teams, optimize resources and develop complex strategic projects.
To develop world-class competencies in Agile and Project Management, the program offers an intensive program at the University of California Berkeley, in Silicon Valley, the birth place of Agile Management.
